Mary Preston
Mary Jane Preston, Vincent, Ohio (16 Dec 1840-17 Mar 1926;
"Aunt
Mary"). Mary Jane Preston was d/o Enoch and Margery Preston. She had a
brother named Daniel, who died in a fire, and a sister, Margaret, who
married ____ Tuttle and gave birth to a boy, Church B. Tuttle.
Harriet (McCowan) (Preston) Babb
Harriett McCowan Preston Babb is my great-great-grandmother.
She m
23 Jan 1859 to Peter Preston (s/o Enoch [b Allegheny Co MD] and
Marjarie Litton Preston). Their children: Ammon Howard Preston (19 May
1860), Emmily Ramidar Preston (11 Sep 1861); Norman Allen (13 Mar
1863), William Elmer (05 Nov 1864), and Charles Enoch (01 Feb 1866).
After Peter died, Harriett m 09 Dec 1875 to Reese Smith Babb (08 Mar
1833; s/o Peter and Elizabeth Babb), an officer of the Union Army
during the Civil War. It was a second marriage for both. Harriet had
one child with Reese Babb: Harry Babb (19 Jan 1878).
