In this note John mentions his wife as having had a stroke, his brother Bill (William) Mitchell as working with him at Job's mine, and his brother Amos Mitchell as living in Nelsonville at this time in 1888.  He signs it as his name is always listed in census records as John W. Mitchell.

This postcard was shared with me by the descendants of Paul Macy Nutter, (Jim and Susan Mild) as it was passed down through the generations from Annettie (Annie) Mitchell Nutter's estate.
