CHRISTINA DANKER
Mrs. George Danker Claimed by Death -- Mrs. Christina Graessle [sic: Grasley] Danker, aged 77 years, widow of George Danker, for many years a resident of Sixth street, died at the home of her son, Henry Danker, in Zanesville, on Sunday, following an illness of two months with paralysis. The body arrived in Marietta on Monday afternoon. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Methodist Church on Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Danker was born in Watertown Township and spent her earlier years there. Following her marriage to George Danker, she made her home in Marietta. She was taken to the home of her son about six weeks ago. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. Surviving are her son, Henry Danker, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Messrs. Henry Wellbrook and George Wellbrook, of this city, are cousins of the deceased.

GEORGE DANKER
Mr. George Danker, a former well known moulder, died suddenly at his home on Sixth street, Tuesday evening, of heart disease, aged 49 years. He leaves a wife and two grown sons. The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.

HENRY DANKER
Mr. Henry Danker, whose death we announce was several times elected Assessor of the Third Ward and had been an invalid for about fifteen years. He was buried Sunday.

Mr. Henry Danker, of this city, died on the 12th inst., aged 62 years. Mr. Danker settled in this county when he came from Germany over 40 years ago. He was an industrious, honest and upright man. He was buried on Sunday.

HENRY DANKER
Former newspaperman Danker dies at age 101 in Zanesville -- Henry J. Danker, Zanesville, Republican leader, former newspaperman, and ex-Mariettan died at 6:50 a.m. yesterday in Mark Rest Center, McConnelsville following a year's illness. Mr. Danker, who observed his 101st birthday Dec, 29, 1970, was born in Washington County, a son of George and Christina Grasley Danker. Prior to his retirement some years ago, he operated Danker Printing Co., Zanesville, with his son Raymond, with whom he had resided. Many Ohio Republican leaders had attended his 100th birthday celebration, including former Gov. James A. Rhodes, when a party was given in his honor Dec. 5, 1969, in Zanesville. Rhodes presented him with a plaque in recognition of his long years of service to the community and to the Republican party. He attended the old Marietta Academy and at the age of 14 joined the staff of the Dollar Weekly News in Marietta. Six years later he switched to the staff of the Marietta Times. After working in a job printing shop in Cincinnati, he went to Zanesville and a job with the Courier. His career included reporter, owner and publisher, since he purchased an interest in the Lancaster Gazette after his stint on the Courier, and served as editor of the Gazette several years. When he returned to Zanesville, he and his son purchased the Times Recorder commercial printing shop. Mr. Danker was a member of Grace United Methodist Church; LaFayette Lodge, F and AM; Royal Arch Masons; Royal and Select Masters; Valley of Cambridge Scottish Rite, and was a 32nd degree Mason. His first wife, Mary Rothley Danker, preceded him in death. Later, he was married to Amelia Thiel, who is also deceased. Two sons survive, Raymond, Zanesville, and Carl, Chicago, Ill., with five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Masonic rites will be held in DeLong and Baker Funeral Home, Zanesville, at 8 p.m. tomorrow, where friends may call this evening and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m tomorrow. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Oak Grove Cemetery, Marietta, with the Rev. Robert St. Clair officiating. [NB: I have several additional obituaries from other papers and some miscellaneous articles about Henry.]

LINNIE DANKER
Mrs. Linnie [Cheeseman] Danker, widow of the late John Danker, died at 9:50 o'clock Wednesday night at her residence, 918 Front street. Death was due to neuritis, from which Mrs. Danker had suffered only since last Sunday. Her demise came as a great shock to her family, as up to Sunday she had been in her usual health and able to be around. The deceased was past 75 years of age, having been born in 1847 at Warren, O. Since her infancy she had resided in Marietta. Mr. Danker died 26 years ago. Among the surviving relatives are two daughters, Miss Mamie Danker and Miss Bertha Danker, also one grand-daughter, Caroline Mentzer, all of Marietta. A sister, Mrs. Julia Noon, also resides in this city, and another sister, Mrs. J. C. Trotsman at Cincinnati. Funeral arrangements had not been completed at noon on Thursday.

MARY DANKER
Mrs. H. J. Danker, of Zanesville, formerly of Marietta, died at her home in Zanesville, on Tuesday. The body will arrive this afternoon and will be taken in charge of by O. J. Fuller. Funeral services will be held from the Christina Danker home, 406 Sixth street. Death was due to complications. Mrs. Danker was born near Lowell and was abotu 50 years of age. Besides her two sons, Carl and Raymond Danker of Zanesville, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. Rothley of Lowell; and the following brothers and sisters: George Rothley, Jacob Rothley, Mrs. Elizabeth Landsittel, and Mrs. Emma Moser, of Lowell; Mrs. Phillip Bohl, of Watertown; and Mrs. Flora Lockland, of Oklahoma.
