 Civil War notes for Joseph J. Hines:
    "Enrolled in service on Aug 11, 1862 at Elliots Crossroads Morgan Co. OH mustered into service in Zanesville on Sept. 2, 1862 with Co. D 97th OVI
      on Nov of 1863 detailed as wagoner in Div Supply Train, March 15, 1964 assigned duty for provost guard.  According to Civil War Pension records
      Joseph was 5'8 Sandy complexion, grey eyes dark hair and occupation of Shoemaker.
