Obit says he is survived by brothers Alexander and Hiram STEVENSON and sister Mrs A A BEERS. Hiram's marriage certificate says parents are Alexander STEVENSON and Margaret COOPER. As far as I can tell, all Hoisingtons are related if you go back far enough. My gg-grandfather was Jesse H. HOISINGTON, b. 6/23/1824 in Ames Townwhip, Athens Co. His parents were Barzava (also called Zava, Zebulon) HOISINGTON and Mahala SLATER.

23 Aug 96 Charlotte Cottongame Re: BARKER ...Looking for information on the family of Timothy BARKER in Athens Co. He had a son named Bartlett and a son also named Timothy. Time period - 1820-1870. Timothy #1 married Eleanor PARKER Bartlett married Margaret DRAPER, and by 1856 they were living in Illinois where six of their children were born.
PATRICK J POWER Date: Thu, 22 Aug 1996 SHIELDS I am looking for the parents of Samuel M. SHIELDS who was born in Athens County, Ohio in 1809. He later moved to Warren County, Ohio where he married at least three times (Rebecca KELLY,Rhoda CROSSON and Rebecca). I don't know when he moved except it was before his first marriage in 1836. I do not know if he had any siblings. The family history is that the SHIELDS family came from Pennsylvania sometime before 1809. Thanks for any assistance. Shaunee Power
