Information was taken from the microfilmed index at the National Archives. (T289 Roll 432). A few of the soldiers had a rank listed. Some of the index cards provided a death date and place of death, and that information is listed below the name of the individual.
From left to right the information provided is rank, name, abbreviation for the type of pension (s) applied for, dates of filing the various pension applications. Abbreviations used for the type of pension are: I=Invalid, W=Widow' s, M=Minor. Some place names were unclear. These are signified with (?).
All of these individuals should have a file of application papers at the National Archives. T he file can provide invaluable information for genealogists. This company was formed in Gallipolis, Ohio, and many of the individuals are from Athens County. The term of service was from 10 May 1864 to 3 Sept 1864. Four persons died of disease during the time of service. This company served on garrison duty at Charleston, WV.
